Thrive is a locally operated public relations firm striving to raise sustained awareness of critical issues that have a direct impact on the Baton Rouge community. Although we are a new company in the area, each member of the staff brings their own particular expertise to the table to create a well-versed team. We have each been in the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. Through our learning of public relations practices, we understand the importance of knowledge in our field. Dealing with the media and creating a campaign are part of a public relations person's world that must be learned and experienced.
In order for a public relations firm to be successful, it must understand key factors about what the client is needing. All businesses need promotion of their brand. Linking an image or phrase to that brand is key in recognition. They also need crisis management in case anything were to go wrong throughout their company. Mistakes happen, and it is up to the public relations team to be ready to respond to any situation accordingly. Businesses also should take advantage of the free publicity of social media. As a public relations team, providing social media for a client will help them be more accessible to their public and show other companies that they can keep up with trends. One of the most important things public relations can bring to a company is the power of story telling. Especially in the nonprofit world, communities need to see the human element of a company. That includes the mission statement of the company and helping with their overall transparency about what they bring to the community.
Our company prides itself on bridging the gap between nonprofits and its publics. Our first client, Youth Oasis, is only the beginning of a great company. Each member of Thrive has had their own public relations learning experiences through internships, jobs and classroom learning. We know each and every company in the Baton Rouge area needs someone to manage their brand and perceptions to the public. Thrive has what it takes to personalize each individual company's unique image so it stands out and is noticed around the community. We also understand the importance of upholding that brand in truth and transparency. Even though Thrive handles any and all crises, we know the importance of preventing a disaster in the first place. We anticipate the worst but show our best.
One of the biggest roles public relations has today is providing owned media. Word-of-mouth is a thing of the past and social media has taken over. Thrive incorporates social in everything we do including promotions, awareness, recognition and interaction. Our goal is to bring awareness and understanding to the nonprofits we support, and social media is now a key factor in promoting both goals at once.
We know Youth Oasis has a story to tell and Thrive is the one to tell it. We care about the lives of the homeless children. Our passion for helping people shines through in all of our work and we take the time to make our client's wishes come true. We understand the gravity of the situation the homeless children face and want the Baton Rouge community to come together and understand it too.
Even though Thrive is an up and coming firm, we have a lot to offer and continue to learn more about the public relations world. We are continually showing our expertise by bringing awareness to the brand, excelling at social media, handling crises and most importantly, telling a story.
